My Big Easy Wedding

Above you see my husband and I leading our family down Royal Street in New Orleans, on our way to Brennan's restaurant-- our favorite! This was right after we got married. Our ceremony was short, our family was there, and we had some good laughs with a great group of people.  I enjoyed a Shrimp Creole, some white wine, and the world-famous Bananas Foster, which was invented at Brennan's many years ago. YUM.
After eating ourselves silly, we went to the Harrah's casino down by the Mississippi river, where I played video poker. A fantastic ending to a lovely day! I am so thankful about everything in my life that is going right.

We had a pretty amazing trip. Kevin's friend ate alligators every day. I probably gained 15 lbs from everything I ate. Bourbon street was just as quirky as ever. It was wonderful to catch up with our families and enjoy the ever enchanting sights and sounds of New Orleans.

And now I am in a cabin in St. John, USVI, making lists of things I need to make my new house feel like a home. I'm also trying to figure out how to get rid of all my stuff back in the Carolinas. Life is certainly turning into quite the adventure, and I can't wait to see more of what it brings. And, as they say in New Orleans, let the good times roll!
